Partner Darci Burrell has been selected as a Contributing Chapter Editor for the 2019 Rutter Guide treatise on Employment Law. Ms. Burrell, working with Ann Noel (the Co-Director of the Sexual Harassment/Violence Working Group at the Berkeley Center of Comparative Equality and Anti-Discrimination Law) is responsible for the chapter concerning Disability Discrimination. The treatise is relied upon by attorneys who represent both employees and employers litigating disability claims and is a well respected resource.
Working on revisions to a chapter in the Rutter Guide takes considerable time, as it requires a comprehensive review of all new developments in the area of disability law. Nevertheless, Darci says that she was honored to be selected as an editor. “The Rutter Guide is a well-respected and well-used source for legal research and guidance. It’s a valuable resource for attorneys, paralegals, law students – anyone doing legal research – and it is frequently cited by courts for its analysis of the law. As someone who pretty regularly uses the Rutter Guide as a starting point for legal research and information, it pleases me to be involved with it, even just as a Contributing Chapter Editor.”
The new chapter is expected to be released in the first half of 2020.
