LVBH partners Leslie Levy and Sharon Vinick joined 125 lawyers and judges for the first annual Bay Area Women Lawyers’ Retreat, held in Sonoma, on February 28-29, 2020.  Ms. Levy, who is the current chair of the Women Lawyers’ of Alameda County and a co-organizer of the retreat, kicked off the weekend by welcoming the participants, including California Supreme Court Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye.

Over the course of the weekend, attendees participated in a series of seminars addressing issues that are unique to women lawyers, including strategies for combating gender discrimination by members of the judiciary and the bar. In addition to many members of the judiciary, the participants at the retreat included private practitioners from small and large firms, and attorneys from government agencies. The weekend was a wonderful opportunity to break down barriers and establish new relationships.

LVBH was proud to be counted as one of the sponsors of this first-ever retreat. Based on the overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants, there is no doubt that this will be the first of many.
