On October 12, 2018, LVBH partner Jean Hyams received the CELA Leadership Award “for vision and wisdom in leading CELA to achieve our mission.” California Employment Lawyers Association Chair Wendy Musell presented Jean with the award in front of more than 500 attendees of CELA’s 31st Annual Conference, held this year in San Diego, California.
Jean received this honor for her role in leading CELA through a year-long, multi-phase strategic planning process to support the organization’s educational activities, develop its membership resources and advance its advocacy on workers’ rights through the legislature, government agencies and the courts.
In Jean’s words, “An organization with a mission as important as CELA needs to know where it is going and how it will get there. It was my privilege to engage CELA’s membership and leadership to chart the course that will take us into a future that supports and protects California workers.”
